This fun couple opted for a dessert table to compliment the coffee bar and wedding cake. Our goal was to do an understated, elegant dessert station that fit their urban venue. Jenna and Eddie chose apple cake, brownies, chocolate chip cookie dough truffles, short bread cookies, chocolate dipped Oreos, and brownies layered with cream cheese frosting & strawberries. In addition, fancy fruit trays were served with chocolate dipped strawberries, raspberry coins, blackberry coins, chocolate dipped pineapple, chocolate dipped bananas and apple wedges dipped in chocolate. Their choices reflected the needs of their guests by offering items that were dairy free and gluten free. We made signs so guests could choose according to dietary need. At the end of the night, the desserts were packaged for the family to take home. The desserts were frozen and served two weeks later at a graduation party. I’m told “they were just as good” at the graduation and served as a sweet reminder of the day.
One stop shopping was important to this couple’s family. They were relieved that Wicked Good Treats by Elaine could provide the wedding favors too. The couple chose boxes of truffles for their guests. Each individual white box was filled with chocolate truffles, peanut butter truffles, hazel nut truffles, sea salt caramels and a chocolate T for Thomas. The boxes were tied with custom printed ribbons for Eddie and Jenna in robin egg blue, to match the wedding colors. As I prepared the dessert table, the house staff placed the favors at each place setting for the guests.
The couple was married in a city that was between both home towns. That meant most of the attendees would be staying overnight at a nearby hotel. Eddie’s family prepared hospitality bags for all the guests and ordered a package of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies for each guest.
No matter how big, or complex, we can make your day special and unique, just like Jenna and Eddie. We travel out of town to make sweet memories.
